Polygenic Risk Scores: Current Status and Future Utility

The UK Pharmacogenetics & Stratified Medicine Network is pleased to present our first Virtual Workshop – “Polygenic Risk Scores: Current Status and Future Utility”. The event will be held online and hosted by Professor Sir Munir Pirmohamed.

The first session will include talks on genetic profiling for prediction of Alzheimer’s disease, the impact of PRS on insurance, and the clinical utility of PRS.

The afternoon session will see participants split into breakout groups to discuss:

1. How can we further develop the utility of PRS?

2. What will be the challenges and opportunities of implementing PRS into clinical practice?

3. Ethical issues associated with the use of PRS. 

Following these discussions, rapporteurs from each group will present their conclusions.
