What We Collect
The Pharmacogenomics Research Network (PGRN) will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We collect basic personal data about you which does not include location-based information. This does, however, include your name, address, email, phone number, etc. We also collect optional demographic information such as race, gender, type of science, etc. to be used for internal analysis of membership statistics as well as conference grant applications.
Why We Collect It
We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with information regarding PGRN. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need in order to provide and oversee these services to you.
What We Do With It
All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the USA on Amazon servers. No third parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. PGRN will not sell or distribute your data to a third party for use outside of the society.
How Long We Keep It
Your information will be uses for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
What We Would Also Like to Do with Your Data
We would however like to use your name and email address to inform you of our future annual meetings, election notices, surveys, member notifications, etc. and membership offers. This information is not shared with third parties and you can unsubscribe at any time via phone, email or our website. To Opt In for all mailings, be sure to login to your PGRN account and check the "Opt In" box under Email settings in your account.
What Are Your Rights?
If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect, you may request to view this information, have it corrected or even deleted. Our Data Protection Officer is Sheilah Jewart, our Executive Director, who can be reached at info@prgn.org.
