Abstract (Updated, October 2011)

The genetic architecture affecting drug adsorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity (ADMET) is complex and is known to include both common and rare variants. Although genome-wide association studies (GWAS) can evaluate the role of common variants, rare variants are currently more difficult to identify. The development and application of second-generation sequencing is rapidly changing our ability to explore targeted resequencing and expression analysis in humans. The overall goal of this PGRN resource is to provide next generation sequencing to help explore associations with drug responses.
